Winter’s Glow
Along Lake Superior's icebound shore, boulders wrapped in frozen spray held their shapes as the sun broke through a heavy bank of clouds, scattering gold across the ice and open water. Winter moves in layers here, one freeze building on the last, until even stone starts to glow.
