Quilted Barn

Under a pale, hazy sky, an old barn stood weathered and worn, its hand-painted quilt square still holding color above walls where boards had broken loose and timber lay scattered in the grass. A smaller shed sagged nearby beneath a rusted tin roof, holding its shape a little longer while a weathered fence line kept quiet watch out front.
