Cannonball Concretions
Across a badlands slope, round cannonball concretions lay embedded in banded layers of gray and rust-colored stone, exposed only after the softer rock around them wore away. Some things take millions of years to reveal themselves, and the ground simply keeps giving up what it's been holding onto all along.
